Worcester City Amateur boxing club schoolboy Ikraam Baig beat Shea Watson of Wells ABC on his own show.

Boxing at Wells Rugby club, Baig faced an aggressive and determined opponent in Watson. With almost a foot height difference, Baig used his reach advantage to perfection. Catching the Wells boxer with sharp jabs before Watson could get close enough to land punches of his own.
Good movement and fast straight punching built a healthy lead for Baig with Watson pushing him all the way. A hard combination of head shots in the second from Baig prompted the ref to give Watson a standing count. Watson refused to give in and produced some tidy boxing skills at close quarters. During the third, Baig began to tire and Watson tried his best to capitalise on this. Baig continued to fire out rapid jabs until the final bell where he took the bout on a majority decision.

Boxing at Wednesbury, Junior Trent Smith faced former national champion Jake Wood of Wednesbury ABC in a very hard fought contest. The more experienced Wood took the first with the better workrate. Smith started to gear up in the second and forced Wood backwards with hard rights to the head. The third saw Smith have his best period in the contest, backing Wood against the ropes with a barrage of punches. Unfortunately, Wood just managed to produce that little more skill throughout to claim the victory on a split decision.
