Worcester City Amateur Boxing Club had mixed fortunes when they took 4 boxers to an open air tournament in Dartford, Kent.
Junior Dan Lloyd was up against the more experienced Mark Smith of the host club Bodyshots ABC. Lloyd was very slow to get going which allowed Smith to pick up some comfortable points with his jab. Lloyd began to play catch up halfway through the second, scoring with the occasional jab and right hand whilst on the backfoot. With a bit more pressure, Lloyd would have been able to reverse the judges verdict of a Smith victory by a split decision.

Welterweight Grant Attwood got the City club back on track with a superb boxing display to outpoint Tom Conroy of Lansbury ABC. Attwood dictated proceedings throughout, forcing his opponent backwards with hard rights to the body and powerful left hooks to the head. Conroy proved to be a skillful boxer, with a good variety of shots on the move. Unfortunately,  Attwood's combinations and  rentless pressure give the judges little to debate with victory awarded by way of a unanimous decision.

Junior Michael Cullen continued Worcesters winning ways by outclassing Arran Florianowicz of Lansbury ABC. Cullens movement and speed of hand proved too much for the Lansbury boy, fast straight punches with both hands being the telling factor. Florianowicz continued to press forward but couldn't deny Cullen's unanimous win.

Schoolboy Hasmin Ali fought well against the taller Fleix Salam, also of Lansbury but couldn't match the experience of Salam. Ali was determined to do well in only his second bout but was beaten to the punch on numerous occasions to lose by points.
