Worcester City Amateur boxer Trent Smith made short work of Drew Brown of Far Cotton in the semi finals of the Midlands junior under 60 kg championships.
Having lost to Brown on two previous meeting, Smith wasted no time in making his intentions clear. Having weather an early onslaught, Smith caught his opponent with a series of hard left hook which shook him to a standing count. The Worcester boy was in no mood to stand off and continued the onslaught with five punch combination, culminating with a jarring left hook. The referee jumped in to give a shell shocked Brown another count,  he then called a halt on proceeding with 10 seconds remaining in round one.
Smith is  now preparing to face Matthew Galliers of Solihull in the final at Scunthorpe this Saturday.
